The first step towards the smile you’ve always wanted
You’ll always be greeted with genuine warmth any time you enter our office! Once we’ve said hello, we’ll give you a brief tour of our office and introduce you to some of our talented team. At this stage in your appointment we may talk about your medical and dental history and take photos and x-rays of your face and teeth. We may also do a set of impressions, or digital study models of the teeth. Along with your examination, these diagnostic records help us decide on the best course of action, as well as tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth begin to move.
We know that the unknown can be scary, so throughout your visit, we’ll take the time to make sure you understand each step of the process as we go. We encourage you to ask questions if there’s anything you’re not sure about! Once Dr. Jim or Dr. MaryEvan have completed a thorough oral examination, we’ll sit down with you to discuss some or all of the following topics.
- Any oral issues present that orthodontics can address
- If treatment is needed now, or if it would it be better to wait until certain growth, tooth eruption, or other factors have occurred
- What treatment options we have available to correct the problem
- If any permanent teeth will need to be removed first
- How long we believe treatment will be likely to take
- How much you can expect to invest in treatment
- What payment options are available to you
By analyzing your specific needs this way and creating a customized treatment plan in order to meet them, we’re able to produce superior results and a higher level of patient satisfaction.
Investing in your new smile
As soon as you’ve decided on a customized treatment plan with Dr. Jim or Dr. MaryEvan, we’ll go over the estimated investment needed for your new smile. Because every patient we see comes with their own unique needs and responds to treatment in their own way, this will always vary on a case-by-case basis. However, it’s our goal to make sure you understand all the associated costs of treatment before we ever even begin!
At Thacker Orthodontics, we’re committed to providing outstanding orthodontic care for patients of all ages, whatever your family’s budget may be. Your smile is forever, and it’s important to us that you have options to receive the orthodontic treatment you need. That’s why we offer a variety of payment plans. For your convenience, we also accept most major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. We also accept care credit and lending club.
If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we’ll offer a fee discount. If your insurance is covering part of your treatment, we’ll offer the discount on your portion of the fee they don’t cover. We’ll also be happy to help you determine the coverage you have available. Once you assign your insurance benefit to us, the balance will be arranged for you to pay. We’ll file your claim and handle any insurance questions from our office on your behalf to make things easier for you. We want you to be able to maximize your benefits for a beautiful smile!
