Meet the Doctors
The heart and soul of our practice at Thacker Orthodontics is our doctors, Dr. Jim and Dr. MaryEvan. Though they are highly trained and specialized in their profession, they are also down-to-earth Cincinnatians who love connecting to their community. Dr. Jim opened the practice in 1986 and has been turning patients into friends ever since. His love for orthodontics has taken him to the classroom as a professor and encouraged him to continue learning and growing his expertise over the years. Outside of the office, he enjoys being in nature, keeping active, and attending events around Cincinnati!
It’s safe to say that Dr. MaryEvan grew up in the practice. After working with her dad as a chairside technician in high school and college, she knew that she wanted to continue this work herself and followed through with dental school and orthodontic specialization. She joined the team in 2017 and continues to love helping her patients craft the most beautiful smile possible. She enjoys seeing their progress every day and sharing their stories. Along with her husband and two daughters, her life is full and active, just the way she likes it!

Dr. Jim and Dr. MaryEvan know that they wouldn’t get far without the incredible staff who keep the office running day in and day out. Including Katrina, Linda, Heather, Sarah, Jamie, Hannah, Bella, Cami, Ella, Lori, Cheryl, Lilli, Lisa, Hayleigh, Kate, Lisa, and Clifton, our offices wouldn’t be the same without them! From our in office lab technician that helps create impressions of our patients teeth and our orthodontic technicians and dental hygienist who work on our patients’ teeth alongside the doctors to the diligent office staff who manage the schedules and logistics to the finance coordinators who support money matters, each and every one is essential.
